You have the new Directory setup in the backend of your site and now it’s ready to go live. Let’s look at where to add links on your site for your visitors to find it.
1. Add Directory to Navigation Menu
In the Dashboard, select Appearance – Menus
In the menu items list, select Custom Links and add your website URL followed by “/directory/”
For the Link Text, enter what you would like to appear in the navigation menu
Example: Staff Directory
Select Add to Menu. It will appear on the bottom of your menu in the Menu structure. You can drag and drop it into the place that you would like it to appear.
2. Add a link to the Directory from your website content
On a page or post, highlight the text you want to link to the Directory and enter your URL followed by “/directory/”.
Hit the blue button to apply the link.
Now your directory can be found on your site.
