If Columns are set up on your website, there should be a Columns drop-down menu in your toolbar. (If it is not appearing in your toolbar, contact your Project Manager to discuss having it added.) Click on the box to see options for the number of columns you would like to have on the page.
After you choose an option in the drop-down, a line of code will appear in your text editor. This code will vary in length depending on the number of columns you are using. All code between the brackets you will not want to touch. The other code you will replace with your content that you want on the page.
Here is an example of what the it looks like with new content in the editor:
The final text will show in two columns like this:
Cake is a form of sweet dessert that is typically baked. In its oldest forms, cakes were modifications of breads but now cover a wide range of preparations that can be simple or elaborate and share features with other desserts such as pastries, meringues, custards and pies.
Typical cake ingredients are flour, sugar, eggs, and butter or oil, with some recipes also requiring additional liquid (for example milk or water) and leavening agents (such as yeast or baking powder).
Common additional flavorings include dried, candied or fresh fruit, nuts, cocoa or extracts, and numerous substitutions for the primary ingredients are possible. Cakes can also be filled with fruit preserves or dessert sauces (like pastry cream), iced with buttercream or other icings, and decorated with marzipan, piped borders, or candied fruit.
Now you’re hungry for some cake aren’t you!
